Dec 12 • Songs of A Homeland with Marianne Azar Caucasus Parts of proceeds will goJoin us for a showcase of Lebanese folk songs, sung in Arabic and in their English adaptations written by the organizer Marianne Azar. Through these selected songs, we will discuss common themes and elements of nature and nostalgia that reoccur in the Lebanese folk repertoire and their significance. Discussion will be in English. Marianne Azar devotes herself to language in art and in science. She is an essayist, poet, singer songwriter and translator
